1. Do not litter along the trail or campsite. Keep your plastics, bottles and paper in your backpack 2. Staying together as one group is of utmost importance not to get lost or delay the entire group. Always keep in eye contact with the person in front of you. Obey the instructions of the organizers (introduced during the start of the trek) who will try to keep everyone move along together as one single group. Fast people in the front will need to periodically regroup with those in the back. 3. Minimize the weight of your backpack - do not carry any unneeded items. A heavy backpack will make it much more difficult to climb uphill and over uneven terrain. 4. Proper usage of your water reserve. Carry the announced minimum amount of water. Refill your bottles before leaving the stream. Do not consume your reserve too quickly as trekking without water for long duration is very difficult. Consume your water evenly over the total trek duration. 5. Use proper clothing - light pants and t-shirts. Long pants will protect against thorns, long sleves will prevent from scratches and rashes. Avoid thight fit jeans as they prevent free movement and are very heavy when wet. Avoid bright clothes. 6. Carry one set of slippers, extra dry socks to avoid blisters when wetting your primary wear. 7. Avoid joining moderate/difficult treks without prior regular physical activities. Yoga, gym, walking are not proper preparation for these type of treks. Trekking requires utmost stamina and mental strength. Too many times first-timers get into trouble and delay the entire group. 8. Bring an LED torch (with extra batteries) along as frequently we need to do some trekking after sunset. 9. Do not wear new shoes on a trek. Ensure to have worn your shoe wear for some time to avoid painful feet. Avoid worn down shoes - many times people loose their soles and walking becomes impossible. 10. We like active volunteers rather then passive participants. Take initiative to help out on the many tasks during a trek and camping. 11. Do not carry valuable items during trek (phones, jewelery) as frequently these items get lost or spoil during the trek. Frequently we jump and swim in water pools where electronic items get spoiled.
