Subject: Need help with Cake PhP, Zend, Symphony
Hi All,

This isn't exactly a job post but I would like various comments on why
there are few php ppl with hands on experience with the above
mentioned frame works. I have been looking for ppl with knowledge and
hands on experience of these frameworks but havent found any body. How
common is the usage of these frameworks, since when have we been using
this in India?Any insights on the queries mentioned above will be
helpful.

Thanks

Aparna Majumdar

Hi

why there are few php ppl with hands on experience with the above mentioned
frame works.
-> Because very less organizations are using these frameworks for
development. Some organizations have there own framework.

How common is the usage of these frameworks, since when have we been
using this in India?
-> I don't know since when we have been using this in india. Generally
ppl prefer these kind of frame work for there product development or web
applications which need more maintenance. for projects if client insist then
also these kind of framework are used.

Thanks
Rahul

Frameworks listed by you are widely popular and being used in PHP based
application heavily.

In Indian market mostly people are using Joomla and Drupal for their PHP
development, although it's depend on project requirements as well. This may
be the reason that people are not much familiar with these frameworks.

I agree, there is difficulty to find the candidate having hands on
experience on PHP open source framework.
In last year's PHPCamp, I expected atleast one talk on any PHP framework.
But nobody gave a talk on it. (courtesy -

Well, in this year's PHPCamp you can expect a talk on  PHP framework from
me.

I also agree with Rahul, that people prefer to create own framework rather
than using any open source framework.

BTW, I've been using above frameworks (only two) since mid 2007.
