Namaste.
You will be happy to know that Belgaum Ashrama has taken up rehabilitation project of building 299 houses for flood affected people at 3 villages in Belgaum & Raichur district. The work on the project has started & is progressing steadily.
Out of 299 houses 70 houses are being constructed at Beerangaddi village in Gokak Taluk, Dt. Belgaum. The rest 229 houses are being constructed at Chintamaranadoddi & Pulameshwaradinni villages at Sindhanur Tq, Dt. Raichur. The villages are out of the way & it takes long time to reach there through washed off roads. Transportation of the building materials to these remote areas is also a challenging job. The villagers are very co operative & are extending all the help they can.

Yes, I completely agree with you on "Let's not prejudge their motives", and I am sorry for writing what I wrote!!!!

Still I will like to share some of my personal experiences:

Once I was driving my car with window glass rolled up. One Sannyasin with Geruva Cloth knocked my window at a highway signal. I rolled down glass and he asked me, "do you read english?" I replied "yes". He immediately gave me 2 Books and said, "These are for you." (I think one of them was Bhagavat Gita). I said, "thank you" and then he immediately said, "Now you have to give me 200 Rs." I ofcourse said, "I dont want to buy these books." He took the books back and went away!!!!!
