I am just thinking - what would be the pros and cons of supplying each new member with an account in our "chennaitrekkers.org" domain. Unless there are some benefits to this, we might want to stick to their original (g)mail ID. It will create extra effort for the members to check emails in this new account or to log in using a second account.

To log in to the new website/forum it would be easiest if they can just use their original (g)mail ID and a chosen password,
