Let me know what time and where the group rides start. Can probably ride later today - morning might be kind of tough as I still have to get my bike ready and stuff. So from tomorrow AM more likely.

Are you new to Bangalore? Or returning after a break? You really cant ride here other than mornings [except commuting of course]. We always do our rides in the mornings and try to get back by 8 or so.
Looking forward to riding tomorrow.

I commuted to work on Friday and today. I am hoping to continue that streak into tomorrow. I can certainly take airport road to work. What route do you guys typically take after you meet in front of TGIF? I will have commuted 15kms by the time I get to TGIF on airport road.
Knowing Arvind and guessing from Deepak's emails, I am thinking you guys are on roadies averaging about 30kmph. I am on a hybrid and on a good day can average around 25. So, we can at least start together ;-)

I used to be a 1. I am now racing as a 2. To be honest - categories really mean nothing. I know cat 4 that can beat some cat 1's.
Hope to see you tomorrow.

Ray,
Nice meeting you this morning. Forgot to ask, what category do you race in the US?

Okay, just trying to understand. If a Cat 4 [for example] is so good, why is he not moving up?

In order to upgrade you need to acquire points by placing or winning races. After you have 20 points you can upgrade cat 4 from there 25 to cat 3 25 to cat 2 25 to cat 1
Only pro is higher.

Interesting...
How exactly do you classify riders into different "cat's"?
I'll be seeing you guys for the ride on Thursday.
