Surely this group is doing a very good job... The Sidewalk program was good and useful.
My 11yo son would like to know more about astronomy. I am looking for someone who can help this little boy with simple discussions (2 or 3 sessions to start with). We are planning to put him in Birla Institute's General Astronomy program also (feb 16 to mar11) for the first time.
Is there someone out there who lives close to sahakar nagar/hebbal and is willing to spend their precious time with a little boy ? we can come to your place for the discussions.

even i am keen on joining the course and have given my name. there is a GENERAL ASTRONOMY course thts gonna start in the 1st week of march. they are still not sure about the 6 week cvourses on radio astronomy and solar astronomy. but i guess the 100 hour certificate courses are availaible. also, you can try the courses at JNP.

Thanks for all who sent the Birla institute contact nos... When I enquired them, they gave the details : Course may start from March 1st week, Weekly 3 classes, total cost comes around Rs.2500. They have noted down my contact no. to inform me about registration date. After that, I will go and register there myself.
BTW, for the first time, I would also like to attend the Telescope making workshop on feb 21. I would like to know the venue, cost and time details for that.
